Still Waiting for You...
So... it's been 7 weeks since we heard news that we were submitted to court. Each day, I get to let each caring patient and excited friend know that we still have no news. It could be any day really, but we are sooooo ready to get this show on the road. It is getting tough for this inner planner to perfection, and tough to not be disappointed today. This week we let our guard down and tried to remind ourselves that God does not delay and it is not always about what I want in my timing...
Top 10 things we did this week to keep our mind distracted from disappointment:
1. We all snuggled with each other.
2. Paxton and I went on a shopping spree for summer clothes in the girls' section (evidently Pax is quite the fashionista and loves buying his sister clothes more than anything).
3. I went shopping with my mom to buy local gifts from Crazy Me and Studio Slant for the foster family taking care of Abbi Grace, social workers, and translators.
4. I read a book on the history of South Korea from the library, taught myself the Korean alphabet, and ran on the treadmill reciting common phrases to myself.
5. I prayed for that one specific patient that needs to come in before I go on maternity leave and whoever else this delay may be about.
6. We bought John Mark some hats for Abbi Grace so he doesn't have to learn how to fix girl hair all the time.
7. I prayed for other people who are going through this process and was able to rejoice at seeing pictures of people meeting their sweet little ones for the first time on Facebook.
8. We fixed bibimbap for supper one day with spicy Korean chili sauce and had rice noodles the next night.
10. I checked my e-mail like a crazy person needing a technology fast every day.
